Stabilizer

OrderConsistencyReliability

A Stabilizer is one of the four Operator Types in the OPC Model: someone whose current default engagement with work is creating order, consistency, and conditions for reliable progress.

Protects, organises, reduces chaos, seeks consistency. Strong bias toward order and sustainability. The default response to a problem is to contain and stabilise.

Stabilizer describes a current engagement mode, not a fixed type. It marks a period in which protecting functioning systems is the dominant response to demand.

The characteristic risk of the Stabilizer mode is containment as a substitute for resolution. Stabilising a problem can hold it in place rather than remove it.
