Explorer
An Explorer is one of the four Operator Types in the OPC Model: someone whose current default engagement with work is inquiry, reframing, and directional search.
Searches, questions, rethinks, evaluates options. Strong bias toward discovery and finding the right direction before committing. The default response is to examine before acting.
Explorer describes a current engagement mode, not a fixed type. It marks a period in which evaluating options is the dominant response to pressure or opportunity.
The characteristic risk of the Explorer mode is evaluation without closure. When the situation removes a stable signal to evaluate against, the search can run indefinitely.
