Compression
Compression is one of the four Phases in the OPC Model: a situational context in which pressure, demands, and responsibility are stacking faster than clarity or capacity can absorb.
Pressure is high. Responsibilities and demands are stacking faster than clarity or capacity. The characteristic experience is demand exceeding current structure.
Compression is not burnout and it is not a pathology. It describes the shape of the current situation: more is coming in than the current structure was built to process. The same person classifies differently once the situation changes.
